Can you burn calories ?

I'm fixing to head swimming to a place called The Blue Whole. It is a under water cave and it's ice cold water that when you jump in your whole body tingles lol but my family and i has been swimming there for ever and i was wondering does swimming in ice cold water burn calories?? I know drinkin ice water does so i wonder if i stand in the water up to my neck for a lil while will it burn calories and how much?
