I want to be in film?

i was asked what i wanted to do with my life and i was thinking and i really like film especial comedy i want to experiment a lil because i have a couple of really good ideas for a movie sketch so i want to get a camera a editing program i hear sony vegas is good and some lights cause im gonna need lighting i guess i need some tips and some advice on cameras because i have no idea about cameras
