What is the whole point or idea of Inception , the movie ?

Im watching it right now. I realized that the beginning of the movie theres a scene in which Lil wayne the rapper used in his music video 6'7"foot. Can someone explain the whole point of the movie without telling me the ending and what not. I didnt finish watching it.
