Rhyming does not make a poem. This is a take off on dueling banjos, etc., and has promise. I would start with tightening the meter first, engaging us more in the 'sound' of the duel and maybe even think about a final solo without mentioning the grave but by your words, implying. Watch the movie "The Red Violin" sometime; not exactly as you intended but the voice of the violin over the centuries and the mystery to it makes an engaging viewing.
